Ysleta ISD had a standout 2024 football season, with outstanding student-athletes and coaches who have earned well-deserved spots on the El Paso Times’ All-City Team.
Overall MVP honors went to Jake Fette, a senior quarterback from Del Valle High School. Fette was a force all season long, leading the Conquistadores to 10 wins while throwing for an impressive 2,488 yards and accounting for 43 total touchdowns.
Jude Walker, a junior wide receiver from Eastwood High School, was named Newcomer of the Year. In his breakout season, Walker hauled in 56 receptions for 804 yards and 12 touchdowns, positioning himself as one of the city’s top offensive threats heading into next season.
Coach of the Year honors went to Rudy Contreras, who guided the Del Valle High School Conquistadores to a stellar 10-win season and a District 1-5A Division 2 title, with notable wins over Franklin, Canutillo, Chapin, and Abilene Cooper.
