Eastwood’s Hailey Delgado Makes History on the National Wrestling Stage

Eastwood High School Sophomore Hailey Delgado had quite the summer. The 15-year-old wrestling phenom didn’t just train for the upcoming school year – she dominated on the national stage! Her latest victory puts her in a league of her own.

This July, Delgado represented Texas at the prestigious U.S. Marine Corps Junior Nationals in Fargo, North Dakota, and walked away as the national champion in the 105-pound weight class. In doing so, she made history as El Paso’s first-ever Fargo champion!

Hailey is no stranger to competing on the national level. In November 2023, she donned the red, white, and blue for Team USA at the U15 Pan American Championships in Panama City, Panama—where she won gold.

Last season for the Troopers, she entered the UIL 6A State Championships with a flawless 42-0 record and captured the gold medal in the 100-pound division. Her performance also helped lead the Eastwood Troopers to a District 1-6A title.

Congratulations to Hailey on her hard work and success – and for proudly representing The District of Champions!
