Ysleta ISD sets the bar; highest-rated in EP for 5th year in a row

The Ysleta Independent School District has once again clinched the top spot in the El Paso region in the latest Texas Education Agency (TEA) A-F accountability ratings, earning the distinction of being the highest-rated school district in El Paso for an outstanding fifth year in a row.

Not only did Ysleta ISD top other area districts with a score an 89 (B+) for overall academic performance, but it also earned the best score in the city (92%) for preparing students for success in college, the workplace or military service. Special Education and Emergent Bilingual students also saw significant gains in their test scores.

Ysleta ISD now ranks among the top 14% of school districts in the state, including charter schools.

“Congratulations to our hardworking faculty, staff, and school leaders for their commitment to create safe, supportive, and engaging classrooms and schools where expert teaching and extracurricular opportunities inspire the leaders of tomorrow,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Xavier De La Torre. “This is clear evidence that with the right support and high expectations, success truly belongs to every student at the Ysleta Independent School District.”
