Famaligi named new athletic coordinator/head coach at Bel Air HS

The Ysleta Independent School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Ariel Famaligi as the new Athletic Coordinator and Head Football Coach at Bel Air High School. Famaligi, who most recently served as offensive coordinator and teacher at Franklin High School, began his career in education in 2005 as a teacher/coach at Desert View Middle School, and went on to both teach and coach football at the high-school level for 20 years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Texas at El Paso and earned his teaching certificate in 2005. Famaligi’s experience and legacy will not only serve to enhance Bel Air High School’s athletic programs, but will prepare Highlander athletes for their postsecondary athletic endeavors.
